The area around the station was a grid of numerous narrow streets. Strings of hanging lights lined the streets, tables laid out in the narrow back lanes, and folks casually enjoying their meals alfresco.
I wouldn't use the word "local", probably my observation that it seems like quite some expats living here. Still a pretty lively area with out the insane crowd of Shibuya / Shinjuku.
Walked past Rare Records, which had 100yen 7" inch in the sale box outside the box. Braving the strong winds, managed to grab 10 of them.
Was tired after crate digging and opted for a simple dinner of fusion ramen. French styled ramen seems to be on the rise. Need to come back here to try the izakaya /oden which looked very good.
Back to Shibuya, Tower Record opens late till 2200hrs. Two more hours of crate digging. Tower's used records section was quite huge, prices are not the cheapest but they were clean and well catalog.
