The train ride there was definitely worthwhile.
The restaurant is set in nature within an extensive garden. The food is just what we like, each dish no matter how simple it looks, always surprises you with its freshness and well integrated taste. Juicy tempura Maitake, grilled tofu with creamy chestnut sauce, crunchy carp sashimi with miso dip, grilled Ayu full of roe, sweetness in the leek and wasabi, black shichimi, marinated peppercorn and it goes on.
