Port Barton

The road to paradise ...
From Puerto Princesa, it is a 3-4 hours by van to Port Barton. I guess that Port Barton is "not as established" compared to El Nido as a tourist spot as the journey there is "a bit out of the way" ? Proper paved roads are still under constructions and would probably take at least another year to complete. Already a lot of the public van and bus now ply the route with Port Barton as standard stop. I am sure it would become more crowded with time. Let's hope it does not lose it's rustic charm soon.
Lunch at Elsa's Beach Resort, Port Barton
Our ride got us to Port Barton early. So while waiting for our boat transfer, we decided have have lunch. Stuffed squid and pork soup

Paradise found ... the quiet beach we were looking for
The resort had about 10 cottages (+/-)? We were luckily to have arrived when only 2-3 of them were occupied, as such the experinece of a "true" private island feeling :>

"Castaways" Bar / Restaurant ...
... well guess it is not surprising to know that there is only 1 dining option on this island :P. Besides the standard filipinos dishes like lomi chicken (chinese lor mee style noodles), we had various seafood dishes. The butter garlic mussuels were yummy.

Time passes quickly in paradise too ...
