Stonington Island

Another island with a deep history of early Antarctic exploration by both the US and UK military. The island house both the wooden historical huts for both bases. Strange that they were built so close to each other on this small island.
Once used as an aerial incursion for deeper Antarctic exploration, the remains of a place engine still sits in the abandoned US base. The wreck of 2 light armoured vehicles are still present, and now home to nesting penguins.
