Search for Sangay Shamu

Matsutake is known in Bhutan as Sangay Shamu, which translate to Buddha's Mushroom.

Uygen got the first prize and found a matsutake. I chanced upon the 2nd prize, a pair of mock matsutake 😆

Very enjoyable afternoon spent pressing ever piece of moss patch under the pine trees. You can also hear folks humming " Matsutake ... where are you 🤣"

Fantastic variety and concentration of shrooms in the area. Someone found a big porcini today.
