Gwangju Tea Ceremony
23 Mar 2026Took an afternoon walk with our guide to this tea house which also has its own tea factory.
Ordered their popular matcha with red ginseng and the huang cha (yellow tea).
Ceremony here are more relax than the Chinese or the Japanese.
Tea "espresso" was the most interesting, just enough water to wet the green tea leaves to extract about a 5ml sip. Very "smooth and creamy" and burst of unami.
